About Durendal Group LLC Founder

As owner, founder and lead instructor, the mission of our company is to set the standard for Private Security Guard, Private Investigator, Bail Enforcement Agent training in Washington State. The same standard and expectation holds true for the civilian firearms training program.
I am an honorably retired 22-year police veteran. I worked in custody as a Deputy Sheriff; as a Patrol Officer; a Patrol Field Training Officer; a Patrol Sergeant and a Detective Sergeant. I then transitioned to a State Investigative Agent where I worked narcotics enforcement which included three years of undercover, as well as overt and covert counter drug operations with the military. I also investigated major crimes. In addition I was involved in the investigation of police shootings.
My advanced Law Enforcement training included but is not limited to numerous investigative disciplines; and includes FBI SWAT qualification, FBI Sniper / Counter Sniper qualification and DEA Tactical Entry Qualification / Ballistic Shield Operator. I served on a high-risk entry team for six years.
I have more than ten years of experience in both military contractor security and the civilian market. I currently own and operate a specialized armed security company which places me in a position to understand that our clients need their officers to receive quality and effective training to better serve the public and their employers.
My current instructor certifications include; Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center Private Security Firearms Instructor in handgun, patrol rifle, shotgun, and handgun red dot. I am also a Washington State Certified Trainer for Unarmed Security Guard pre-assignment training and post-assignment training. Additional instructor credentials include; NRA National Firearms Instructor in handgun, rifle; CCW, personal protection in the home, CRSO (Chief Range Safety Officer), Sabre OC LEO / Mil and Private Security Instructor; Taser LEO / Mil and Private Security Instructor.
In closing, I pledge to you that my training team and I will provide to each officer we train the necessary tools that will help to keep them safe on the job, and serve the industry with professionalism, and a proper work ethic, with honesty and integrity.

Class Schedule & Tuition Fee
* Typically, Unarmed Pre-Assignment and Post-Assignment Classes will be held on the first and third Sunday of every month. Students names should be submited 10 days before class. * Typically, Armed Guard Certification Classes will be held on the second and fourth Sunday and Monday of every month. Students names should be submited 10 days before class. There is a four to five student minimum for unarmed classes. Number of students for armed certification class is a case by case basis. Give us a call. All invoices must be paid within 30 days.
Over 30 days there is a 10% charge.
After 60 days there is a 25% charge and it increases an additional 25% each month after that.
